John J. Ronan (Playwright,
THE EARLY BIRD SPECIAL) is a
playwright and poet and a former National Endowment for the Arts Fellow
in creative writing. He has won the Telly, Aurora and NECTA awards
for his media work. Plays include: Sex and the Dead (formerly The
Yeats Game), The Tease of Eden, and The Early Bird Special, which
was a finalist in the 2016 Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Festival. Ronan
is a widely published poet and books include the award-winning Marrowbone
Lane. He is also a former poet laureate of Gloucester, MA, where his
cable television program, The Writer's Block with John J Ronan, has run
for 26 years.
