Creative Team:

Patricia Hayes (Playwright) This is Patricia’s theatrical debut(s) as the playwright, and lead of “The Personification of Being” and the playwright, and director of “Freak” in the Riant Theatre’s Strawberry One-Act Festival. Patricia was theatrically trained and performed in the company at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NY, “too many years ago to divulge”, and recently studied at the United Citizen’s Brigade in NY. She obtained her Masters in Science, and practiced in medicine as both a Registered Nurse, and Nurse Practitioner, while raising her “two proudest pieces of work”, Michael and Marc Hayes. She most recently specialized in treating tick-borne illnesses with the top Lyme Specialist in NY. Patricia finds great joy “giving credence to a disease whose patients usually suffer silently”. She adds, “If I play a small role in raising awareness of Lyme’s sometimes devastating effects, on both the patients, and their loved ones, whether on a stage or as a practitioner, I’ll be proud”

Whitney Stone (Director) is a Brooklyn-based director/choreographer making bold, provocative theatre that opens the heart and the mind. She received her BFA in Theatre Arts Performance from Hofstra University where she has since choreographed several mainstage productions. She recently completed an Artistic Direction internship with Marin Theatre Company and has been accepted into the 2019/20 One-year Directing Program at The Barrow Group. Past directing credits include Molasses in January(The Theater Center), The Lion…the Wardrobe (Nueva School for the Arts), and Something’s Afoot (Maggie’s Little Theater). Whitney is an alumnus of Director’s Lab West and an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
 
Rica de Ocampo (Actor/Lisa) Originally from Northern Virginia, Rica is a Meisner trained actor, a versatile singer, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a circus artist and ukulele enthusiast. As a singer, she has performed all over the world most notably at the White House for proclamation of black music month in the summer of 2001. Rica attended the University of Michigan for voice and has a BA in film and video studies. After moving to New York, Rica began training in circus arts at Body & Pole, Circus Warehouse and the Contorture Chamber. Rica is the 2010 Polesque Pole Dance Champion and performs Sway Pole with Cirquetacular Productions. She is a graduate of the William Esper Studio and studied under David Newer. As an actor, she has worked on many diverse projects in film (When I'm With You, Wild Men, What Happened Last Night on Amazon Prime), TV (Crashing on HBO), video games and on the web (We Might be Superheroes). Rica is absolutely thrilled to be a freak.

Kevin Gonzalez (Actor/Mike) or as he is sometimes referred to as “TV’s Kevin Gonzalez” is a Brooklyn born and raised Actor, Writer, and Director. When he’s not bouncing around a number of One-Act Play Festivals, you can catch him in numerous films and commercials. So if you’re thinking gosh he looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen him in that weird Philly bus app commercial or in the Comedy Central mini-mock: Ball Barber. Don’t worry we won’t judge you for watching that last one. He is excited to be performing with his cast mates at Riant Theatre’s Strawberry One-Act Festival for his very first time.

Maximillian Stebelsky (Actor/Barista Maxanger) IMDb Student/actor/model/singer.  Speaks English & Spanish knowledge of Mandarin & Russian. Silvia Autorino Galombik (costume and set designer) is a New York City based designer. She received her degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1991 and had a successful career in Fashion for almost two decades, which included her namesake clothing line “Silvia Autorino”. In recent years, She co-produced the feature film, Creedmoria,, which took home the juried prize of Best Narrative Feature Film Comedy at Cinequest Film Festival, in March 2016 and designed costumes for the 2017 independent short film project, MARS ROAD TRIP.

David Malinsky (Actor/Barista Joe) is a NYC-based director, writer, and actor. He has written and directed “Wendy & Peter: A Mythic, Lyric, Comic Drama” at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre.  He has also researched, written and acted in a one-man play about early American theatre history, “Playing at War.” He has taken on lead roles in “Space Race” by Nick Gentile at Dixon Place and “Excess Hollywood” by Retro Stinga at the Producer’s Club.  He is also in the independent films “Abby Singer/Songwriter” by Onur Tukel and “Tormenting the Hen” by Theodore Collatos.  He loves new writings as well as classics, including the works of Sheridan.

Valerie Donaldson (Old Woman) is an actor (1209 Productions, Black Spectrum Theatre, Chelsea Rep,) director (Lehman College, Chelsea Rep, Black Spectrum Theatre, The Triad) and she is the company stage manager for Shades of Truth Theater. Valerie was last seen as Det. Berg in the You are Not Alone theatre festival at the Tank, NYC. Aaron Smallwood Jr. (Old Man) is an actor with film, television and theater experience. Amy Stapleton (Young Woman) is from Long Island and has performed in Diversions, Tell Dory Not to Cry and Red Winged Blackbird–all performed at The Acting Studio. Amy has been studying acting for fours year, starting at the Acting Studio, New York, and is excited to be a part of the Strawberry One Act Festival.

Adriana Alter (Director) has extensive directorial and dramaturgical experience including work with the Secret Theatre, Hip to Hip Theatre Company, Chelsea Rep/The Acting Studio, Nicu’s Spoon Theater Company, Identity Theater Company, Royal Family Productions, and Hartford Stage.  Favorite recent projects include the world premiere of Bridges and Overpasses (also by Anthony Roesch!), and a groundbreaking immersive revival of The Tempest, which has been nominated for four NYIT awards.  Adriana holds degrees from Columbia University and King’s College London, in association with the Globe Theatre.

Anthony Roesch (Playwright) originally from Los Angeles, to Chicago, and now make his home in New York City, studies playwrighting at the Acting Studio, and his recent One Act plays include: Bridges and Overpasses performed at Chelsea Rep/Theater 54, and Brand Truth performed at Play and Pizza. Anthony is also a fiction writer and has published stories appearing in Inkwell Journal and Tampa Review, and has been a Top-25 finalist in Glimmer Train’s Fiction Open and Very Short Story Competitions.
