MARGARET EMORY, Agent at SW Artists
Formerly a legit agent at
Dulcina Eisen Associates, Margaret Emory is currently representing actors for
film, TV and theatre and on camera commercials and voiceovers at SW Artists, a
talent agency in New York City. Her clients are currently working on Broadway,
Off Broadway, in regional theatres, international and national tours, cruise
ships, episodic TV and feature films.
Margaret is a member of Phi
Beta Kappa, an honors graduate of Princeton University, and a graduate of the
Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. She has been a performer and
director, headed a national Shakespeare company and served as an adjunct
professor at Marymount Manhattan College. She founded The Emory Seminars, a
program on “The Business of Acting,” which she has taken to the
North Carolina School of the Arts, the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill, the University of Michigan, and the University of Washington. She created
and wrote the popular “Ask an Agent” column for Backstage
and wrote the popular book, ASK AN AGENT, now in its second edition
and available at the Drama Book Shop and at Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle format.
Margaret is also a song lyricist and tennis enthusiast. She is a member of New
York Women in Film and Television.
ELLYN LONG-MARSHALL, Casting Director, Orpheus Group Casting
Ellyn
Long Marshall and Maria E. Nelson, the founding partners of Orpheus Group
Casting, received the Riant Theatre’s Pioneer of the Arts Award in recognition
of their 27 years of uncompromising dedication to the arts of film, theater,
and television. Among the critically
acclaimed films enriched by their expertise are Girlfight (2000), Real Women
Have Curves (2002), Maria Full of
Grace (2004), and Amreeka
(2009). The pair have also worked with
respected theater companies such as INTAR, on Broadway, and at Lincoln Center.
COUNT STOVALL, Actor of Broadway, Film & Television
Count has enjoyed a career spanning
over 40 years acting on both stage and screen. His Broadway credits
include: A Streetcar
Named Desire, Driving
Miss Daisy, Cat on
a Hot Tin Roof, The
Philadelphia Story, and Inacent
Black. Off-Broadway and regionally Count has worked with NEC,
the New Federal Theater, the New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater,
Second Stage Theatre, the McCarter Theatre, the Hartford Stage Company,
Cleveland Playhouse, the Manhattan Theater Club, Crossroads Theater Company and
the Kennedy Center. On film he has appeared in Jack Goes Boating (directed
by Philip Seymour Hoffman); A Nick In Time (directed by Be’Garrett), and
The Dig (directed by Joshua Van Pragg). On television, he has
appeared on several shows, including: The
Good Wife, NYC 22,
Army Wives, Law & Order, NY Undercover, All My Children, Zora is My Name, As the World Turns, Give Me a Break, and The Doctors. Count is
a member of Ensemble Studio Theater and the Actors Studio. He is the
father of five, grandfather of five, and married 25 years.
MIKE MCDAVID, Theatre Producer and Educator
Mike McDavid is
a producer and educator, having served in a variety of positions at The
McCarter Theatre Center, Endstation Theater Company, The Pennington School,
Metropolitan Playhouse, and, most recently, Bret Adams Ltd. He is a graduate of
Dartmouth College, and he is very pleased to be working with Riant Theatre and
contributing to the development of new plays.

The Finals, Saturday, May 26th at 12pm, the Industry Judges will cast their votes and pick the BEST PLAY OF THE SEASON.
The Awards will be presented for Best Director, Actor, Costumes and Video Diary at The Awards Ceremony & Performance on Sunday, May 27th at 5pm. In addition, the top 4 plays selected by the Industry Judges will perform before the Best Play Award is announced.
