Congratulations To Playwright Lain Kienzle, Whose Play THE OLD STATES, Premieres In The Strawberry One-Act Festival

Lain Kienzle (Playwright, THE OLD STATES) Born in the dead of a Chicago winter, Lain began her pursuit of the arts at the ripe old age of 11 months, singing backup to a stuffed pig that oinked Jingle Bells. In high school, she became notorious for convincing her friends and any nearby faculty to participate in her outrageous original productions, picking up a Chicagoland high school film or writing award here and there. When she enrolled at NYU for Film and Television Production, not much changed: she was awarded best screenwriting, best actress and faculty commendation award for her junior thesis film, Flicker, and received various screenwriting and production scholarships. She lives in Brooklyn where she writes, bakes cupcakes, and makes friends with all of the stray cats she meets.
